love my community clean up

The MacArthur Park Neighborhood Council was proud to sponsor the Love My Community Clean Up and Resource Fair on February 22, 2025.

The event was in partnership with Councilwoman Eunisses Hernandez and other Neighborhood Councils to beautify the park and surrounding streets, ensuring our public spaces remain clean, welcoming, and accessible.

The day kicked off with a resource fair featuring over 30 community partners, connecting residents with vital services and information. On hand were State Senator María Elena Durazo, State Assemblymember Mark González, City Council President Marqueece Harris-Dawson, and LAUSD Board Member Dr. Rocío Rivas, underscoring the importance of bringing together all levels of government to deliver real change.

With the help of our incredible volunteers, we cleaned major corridors around the park, including Alvarado Street, Wilshire Boulevard, 3rd Street, 6th Street, 8th Street, Park View Street, and James M. Wood Boulevard, clearing trash from sidewalks, curbs, and public spaces to make our streets safer and more inviting.

Thank you to everyone who participated!
