Currently, the MacArthur Park Neighborhood Council has only one Board Member who is seated during the last election process. The Los Angeles Department of Neighborhood Empowerment is assisting the MacArthur Park Neighborhood Council in filling the open seats.
All stakeholders of MacArthur Park are invited to run for a seat. The 16 open seats include:
- At-Large Stakeholder Representative
- District 1 Residential Representative
- District 3 Residential Representative
- District 4 Residential Representative
- District 5 Residential Representative
Eligibility
At-Large Seats
All stakeholders 18 years of age and above who live, work, or own property in the area, and including those who declare a stake in the neighborhood as community interest stakeholders.
District Seats
Stakeholders who live within the respective 5 districts (1 for each district) of the council boundary area who are 18 years or older.
Candidates must complete their application and submit it by October 6, 11:59pm.
Candidates will be chosen by voters in an election process called a Selection on November 15.
